Important Healthcare Mandate in Certain States

An important healthcare mandate passed the Arizona legislature that will require health insurance payers to credential physicians in 100 days or less. The bill takes effect January 1, 2019. That’s less than 100 days away.

Arizona is the first state to require provider credentialing in less than 100 days.

Why is the important healthcare mandate necessary?

Provider data management can be a time-consuming and tedious process. And many times, contracting and credentialing can take upwards of 90 days; sometimes longer and maybe never even loaded.

Currently, long lead times for loading data means delays in reimbursement for physicians, gaps in access to care for patients and losing the competitive recruitment edge for new doctors.
